Box Score The men's soccer team fell to Ramapo College, 3-0, in their second game of the 2013 President's Cup. The Bloodhounds are now 0-2 while the Roadrunners improves to 1-0-1.
The game remained scoreless for much of the first half with each team getting some opportunities. Both teams played tough defense however, Ramapo was able to break the 0-0 tie towards the end of the half when Christian Trujillo hit the back of the net. The Bloodhounds finished the half with two shots.
The Roadrunners scored a quick goal following halftime and that was all they needed. Junior
Christian Munoz led the Bloodhounds with two shots and junior
Pablo Rojas and freshman
Alexis Bustillo finished the match with one shot each. Senior
Andrew Berman played the entire game in net and recorded double-digit saves with 10.
"The team made a huge improvement in today's game against a tough opponent," first-year head coach Nate Bell said. "Our improved defensive compactness and mental toughness kept the game close and is a good omen for the season to come."
