Men's Soccer Falls to William Paterson

Box Score The men's soccer team was defeated by William Paterson, 10-0, on Tuesday night at Pioneer Soccer Park. The Bloodhounds fall to 0-5 while the Pioneers improve to 4-0-1.

William Paterson jumped off to a quick start when Stephen Stewart scored one minute into the game. Later in the half, the Pioneers scored three goals in an eight-minute span to close out the half. The Pioneers added five more goals in the second half to give them their fourth of the season.

John Jay was led by senior forward Besian Shala, who finished with two shots. Matt Nigro, Leandro Lemache, and Jose Arevalo each recorded two goals for the Pioneers.

"William Paterson is a good team and deserved tonight's victory," head coach Nathan Bell said.

The Bloodhounds return home on Saturday, September 14 to face Rowan University. The game is scheduled to start at 5:00pm.
