Box Score The men's soccer team was defeated by the Bearcats of Baruch, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Met Oval. The Bloodhounds fall to 0-7-1 on the season while the Bearcats record their first CUNYAC victory and improve to 2-5 overall.

For the first thirty minutes of play, both teams had scoring opportunities but couldn't find the back of the net. In the 31st minute of the first half, Baruch's Kyle Keague took a long shot from the side of the net that was able to get by John Jay's junior goalkeeper Vitecha Kochaon for the first goal of the game. That was all the scoring for the first 45 minutes as Baruch led 1-0.

In the second half, Baruch's Oren Kozlowski recorded a goal in the 60th minute to increase Baruch's lead to two. He later added his second goal of the game off a free kick to give the Bearcats the victory. Baruch finished with eight shots while the Bloodhounds had four. Freshman Alexis Bustillo recorded two of them and also had a shot on goal. Kochaon recorded five saves on the day.

"Baruch is a tough team and we knew we had to play tough defense to win this game," head coach Nathan Bell said. "We have a tough match coming up against the College of Mount Saint Vincent so we need to start preparing for them."

The Bloodhounds will travel to face the Dolphins of Mount Saint Vincent on Monday, September 23 at 6:00pm.
