Jessica Melchiorre defeated Rutgers-Newark's six singles player 6-2, 7-5.
"We took a step in the right direction against Newark, only coming up a bit short this time around," head coach
Lauren Mallon said. "My team and I are already pumped for our next match and can't wait for the chance at an epic comeback."
The Bloodhounds hit the road this week facing the Cardinals of York on Tuesday, September 10 and NYU-Poly on Thursday, September 12.
