Women's Basketball Can't Hold On To Second Half Lead Against Rutgers-Camden

Box Score The women's basketball team loss a close one to Rutgers-Camden, 63-55, on Monday afternoon in New Jersey. The Bloodhounds fall to 5-11 (3-5 in CUNYAC) overall while the Scarlet Raptors improve to 4-10. 

Junior Tyana Hale led the Bloodhounds recording a double-double with a game-high 22 points and team-high 12 rebounds. Senior Jamecia Forsythe finished with 16 points, shooting 6-for-9, and six rebounds. Junior Amanda Jimenez registered eight rebounds and sophomore Amber Villegas added a team-high four assists and two steals. 

Scarlet Raptors' Tanjae Lewis finished with a team-high 20 points and nine rebounds. Alex Gravinese and Falecia Galindez recorded 15 and 14 points, respectively. Irene Grimanis added a game-high 13 rebounds and six assists. 

"We need to find a way to close teams out in the second half," head coach Diane Ramirez said. "There will be adjustments made in practice heading into the conference part of the schedule."

The Bloodhounds will head to the City College of New York (CCNY) on Wednesday, January 22, for a game at 12pm.
