The women's soccer season came to an end on Tuesday night as the Bloodhounds fell to Lehman College, 1-0. With the loss, John Jay finished the season with a 3-14 overall record and 2-4 conference record. The Lightning advance to the CUNYAC championships and are 8-6-1 overall and 4-2 in the CUNYAC.
Unfortunately for the Bloodhounds, Lehman got on the scoreboard within the first thirty seconds of play. Pamela Sanchez dribbled through the Bloodhounds defenders and scored to give the hosts an early 1-0 lead. Junior
Andrea Antoni kept John Jay in the game by making some key saves. For the first half, Lehman outshot John Jay 6-4. Antoni had two saves.
The Bloodhounds came out in the second half by pressuring the Lightning's goalkeeper and defenders. Junior
Katelyn Davis and senior
Stephannie Rengifo had scoring chances in the half but the goalkeeper made the saves. Lehman's goalkeeper, Stephanie Gonzalez, recorded the shutout making seven saves.
Davis led the Bloodhounds with a team-high four shots and two shots on goal. Rengifo, who played stellar defense, finished with a team-high three shots on goal. Antoni made nine saves in the match.
Before the game, the Athletics Department honored seniors

Daniela Molina, and
Tamta Beriashvili, who played in their final game of their career.
