The baseball team lost to the College of Mount Saint Vincent, 7-0, on Wednesday afternoon at Randall's Island in New York, NY. The Bloodhounds fall to 1-8 overall while the Dolphins improve to 5-6. 

John Jay was only able to muster three hits. Sophomore Nick Gioia, senior Corry Harper, and freshman RJ Davila recorded hits for the Bloodhounds. Davila, senior Ronald Barillas, and sophomore Esteban Soler picked up stolen bases. Soler is now 11-for-11 in stolen bases on the season. 

Sophomore Matthew Quirindongo got the start for the Bloodhounds and the Brooklyn native threw 6.1 innings, allowing nine hits, five hits, and struck out a season-high nine. Junior Michael Fabre pitched in relief and struck out three batters in 1.1 innings. 

Mount Saint Vincent's Jason Rivera led the way going 2-for-2 three RBI's, three walks, and two runs. Chris Sideli went 3-for-5 with three RBI's. Zahedi Castillo and Evan Brown threw a combined seven shutout innings and allowed three hits. 

The Bloodhounds are back in action on Sunday, March 23, at 12:00pm for a doubleheader against Maritime College.
