In game one, the Hawks jumped out to an early lead on a two-run single by Sara Beck. They scored again in the 2nd and the 4th inning and would go on to win the game 6-0. The Bloodhounds were held to three hits off the bats of Kalyssa Daley, Danielle Minaya and Sara McKenna.

McKenna went the distance for John Jay, giving up 6 runs (3 earned) on 11 hits, 3 walks and 2 strikeouts.

In game two, after a quiet first inning, the Hawks got on the board after a sacrifice fly by Erika Colangelo that scored Briana Lombardo, who lead off the inning with a double to right center. Hunter would go on to score again in the 5th and 6th inning making it a 7-0 ballgame.

With at least a hit per inning, the Bloodhounds threatened with runners on in every inning except the 6th inning as they failed to score leaving nine runners stranded for the game.
Jennifer Pace and Daley both had two hits, while Jessica Zaccari and Minaya had a hit a piece in the contest.

The Bloodhounds are in action again on Wednesday, April 30 at 4 p.m. in Staten Island. They will face Lehman College in the Play-In Game to earn a spot in the CUNY Athletic Conference softball tournament.
