The women's soccer team lost both of its matches in the College of Staten Island Soccer Fall Classic this weekend. On Saturday, the Bloodhounds were defeated by the College of New Jersey, 3-0, and on Sunday, John Jay fell to Illinois IT, 7-0. The Bloodhounds start the season with a record of 0-2.Â
In the match against NJCU, the Gothic Knights got off to an early 1-0 lead on a free kick goal one minute into the first half. NJCU added two goals in the second half to take the nonconference match.

Andrea Antoni recorded a game-high 14 saves and sophomore
Jessica Jean registered a team-high two shots. Junior
Katelyn Davis, sophomore
Jessica Monge, and freshmen
Asia Shkreli and
Faith Howell all picked up shots on goal for John Jay.Â
Against Illinois IT, the Scarlet Hawks scored four goals in the first half and would go on to win, 7-0. Davis led the Bloodhounds with two shots. Freshman
Zola Campbell and Jean registered a shot each. Antoni finished with a game-high 11 saves.Â
The Bloodhounds will head to the College at Old Westbury on Thursday, September 4 at 4:00pm.Â
