The men's soccer team shutout Baruch College, 1-0, on Saturday evening at Aviator Field in Brooklyn, NY. The Bloodhounds have now won three games in a row and are 3-7 overall and 2-1 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Bearcats drop to 5-5 on the season and 1-2 in CUNYAC.
The lone goal of the match came in the seventh minute when sophomore
Gerardo Flores-Ramirez shot it past the Baruch goalkeeper to give the Bloodhounds an early 1-0 lead. Freshman
Daniel Hoyte recorded the shutout, making five saves.
John Jay registered six shots in the contest while the guests had 21. Baruch's Helder Correia made four saves.
The Bloodhounds face the York Cardinals on Saturday, October 4, at 12:00pm at Aviator Field.
