The #4 women's soccer team fell to #1 Lehman College, 5-0, on Wednesday afternoon at Brooklyn College. The Bloodhounds end the season with an overall record of 4-11-2. The Lightning improve to 14-2.
Lehman opened the scoring twenty minutes into the match to lead 1-0. Five minutes later, they tacked on another goal to lead 2-0 heading into halftime.
The Bloodhounds were outshot in the first forty-five minutes 11-0. Senior
Andrea Antoni made three saves in the half.
Lehman added two goals within the opening twenty minutes of the second half. They would go on for the victory by a final score of 5-0.
Senior
Katelyn Davis led John Jay with two shots and one shot on goal. Maria Daniela Campodonico Rugel recorded the other shot on goal for the Bloodhounds. Antoni finished with seven saves.
The Lightning advance to the championship game where they will face #2 College of Staten Island on Saturday, November 7, at 2:00 pm at Brooklyn College.
