The women's soccer team lost to Rivier University, 4-1, on Monday afternoon at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds fall to 0-3 on the season. The Raiders improve to 1-1.
Rivier got on the board in the 11th minute to take an early 1-0 lead. With less than one minute remaining in the first half, junior
Jessica Jean scored her first goal of the season off a rebound. Senior goalkeeper
Andrea Antoni made six saves in the half, including on two breakaways.
The Raiders scored three unanswered goals in the second half to record the victory.
Sophomore
Faith Howell led John Jay with two shots. Antoni finished with a season-high 13 saves.
The Bloodhounds host Rowan University on Wednesday, September 9, at 3:30 pm at Randall's Island Field 75.
