The women's basketball team lost to SUNY Old Westbury, 85-53, on Saturday afternoon at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds fall to 4-16 overall. The Panthers improve to 16-3. 

Sophomore Victoria Royal scored six points and grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds. Junior Shaliyah Ruiz recorded a team-high nine points, a game-high five assists, and a team-high three steals. Freshman Karen Rosario added six points and six rebounds. Junior Josephine Diaz had six points and three assists. 

John Jay went 15-for-53 (28.3%) from the floor, 6-for-21 (28.6%) from behind the arc, and 17-for-28 (60.7%) from the charity stripe. 

The Bloodhounds host Baruch College on Tuesday, February 2, at 6:00 pm at the Doghouse.
