The women's soccer team cruised past Valley Forge, 7-2, on Monday afternoon at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds improve to 5-8 on the season. The Patriots drop to 2-11 overall.
The first thirty minutes of the match was scoreless as John Jay dominated play. In the 31st minute, sophomore
Kali Moss found the back of the net to give John Jay a 1-0 lead. The Bloodhounds led 2-0 after forty-five minutes of play.
Four minutes into the second period, Moss recorded her second goal of the game. John Jay scored five in the half to win by a final score of 7-2.
Moss picked up her first hat trick as a Bloodhound and now has nine goals on the year. Junior
Marley Norton registered two goals and one assist. Junior
Alexis Castillo finished with a goal and an assist. Junior
Kelli Doherty picked up her fifth win of the season after making two saves.
