Men's Soccer Suffers Tough Loss to Lehman Lightning

The men's soccer team lost to Lehman College, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds drop to 3-10-1 overall and 2-3-1 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. Lehman improves to 6-3-3 and 4-0-2 in the conference. 

The visitors got on the board in the 15th minute to take an early one goal lead. John Jay was outshot 11-4 in the first half. Junior Alexandros Taliotis made three saves. 

John Jay had a few scoring chances late in the second period but was unable to tie the score.  Junior Steven Sanchez finished with a team-high three shots and two shots on goal. Freshman Armin Sabovic came off the bench and picked up two shots on goal. Taliotis finished with nine saves. 

The Bloodhounds are back at it on Thursday, October 13, when they travel to Western Connecticut State. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 pm.
