The baseball team extended its win streak to four with a 11-8 win over Mount Saint Mary College on Tuesday afternoon at Dutchess Stadium. The Bloodhounds improve to 6-13 on the season. The Knights drop to 5-14 overall.
Junior
Dylan Laudano went 3-for-5 with a double, game-high three RBI's, and one run scored. Sophomore
Zach Hyde finished 3-for-6 with a game-high three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Sophomore
Brian Garcia was 3-for-6 with two RBI's, two runs scored, and one stolen base. Junior
Charlee Rodriguez picked up three hits, one double, two runs, and one RBI. Senior

Jonathan Warasila recorded two hits each.
The Bloodhounds opened the scoring in the top of the third by scoring two runs and added three in the following frame. In the bottom of the third, Mount Saint Mary tied up the game 5-5.
The next two full innings were scoreless. In the seventh, John Jay regained the lead 9-5 and added two insurance runs in the eighth to go up 11-5. In the last inning, the Knights made a comeback to score three runs but would eventually fall by a final score of 11-8.
Senior
David Schildwachter got the nod and threw 3.2 innings. Freshman
Jurrel Diaz picked up his first collegiate victory after throwing 4.1 innings, allowing one hit, no runs, and struck out two. Warasila came in to record the final out of the game to notch his first collegiate save.
John Jay pounded out 18 hits, nine RBI's, and five stolen bases on the day.
The Bloodhounds travel to Neumann University on Wednesday, March 30, for a non-conference game at 3:30 pm.
