The Bloodhounds swept the College of New Rochelle, 2-0 and 12-1, on Wednesday afternoon in New Rochelle, NY. The Bloodhounds improve to 9-16 overall. The Blue Angels drop to 3-16 on the season.
In game one, neither team scored in the first six full innings.
Lisa Pellegrino was dealing as the sophomore threw a complete game shutout, allowing three hits, no walks, and struck out a game-high nine.

Karen Rosario singled with one out and stole second. With two outs and Rosario at third, sophomore
Vanessa Rodriguez reached on an error to score Rosario and give John Jay a 1-0 lead. Rodriguez then stole second and scored on an RBI single by junior
Jennifer Pace.
Just as in game one, the game was scoreless through the first three full innings. In the top of the fourth, John Jay opened the scoring with two runs, capped off by an RBI single by junior
Lisbet Lorenzo. In the following inning, junior
Alinda Nicaj and Pellegrino picked up RBI's as John Jay led 6-0.

Star Manzueta and
Inelza Salcedo registered RBI's to give the Bloodhounds the 12-1 win.
Pace, Nicaj, Salcedo, and Villegas recorded two hits each. Pellegrino drove in two runs and junior
Michelle Atiq scored two runs.
In the circle, Nicaj picked up the win after throwing six innings and allowed four hits, one run, three walks, and struck out two.
The #4 Bloodhounds will host #5 Lehman College on Wednesday, May 4, for the CUNYAC play-in game at 4:00 pm at Randall's Island.
