The women's soccer team took a tough 1-0 loss against Cedar Crest College on Monday night at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds fall to 2-4 overall. The Falcons improve to 4-2.
The first half was relatively even as both teams could not find the back of the net. Cedar Crest outshot John Jay 6-2 and junior
Kelli Doherty made three saves in the first forty-five minutes.
Twenty-three minutes into the second period, the Falcons took a 1-0 lead. The Bloodhounds intensified the pressure but were unable to tie the game.
Sophomore
Kali Moss led John Jay with a team-high two shots on goal. Freshman
Sydney Solimani recorded two shots and one shot on goal. Doherty finished with six saves.
The Bloodhounds host Gwynedd Mercy College on Wednesday, September 21, at 7:00 pm at Randall's Field 75.
