The women's soccer team defeated Maritime College, 2-0, on Wednesday afternoon at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds improve to 4-5 on the season. The Privateers drop to 3-8.

Kali Moss in the box, who buried it into the back of the net to give John Jay a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. The Bloodhounds dominated the first half as they outshot the guests 20-1.
In the second half, Moss was awarded a penalty shot. The sophomore converted to record her team-high sixth goal of the season. She finished with seven shots and five shots on goal.
Junior
Kelli Doherty registered her second shutout of the season with two saves. Freshman
Sydney Solimani picked up a game-high nine shots and sophomore
May Dempsey added six shots on goal.
