Women's Swimming Falls to Lehman on Senior Night

The women's swim team lost to Lehman College, 57-37, on Friday evening at the John Jay Pool. The Bloodhounds fall to 1-7 overall and 1-5 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Lightning improve to 4-7 and 2-3 in the conference. 

Junior Diana Rodriguez recorded John Jay's first first-place finish when she swam the 100-yard butterfly in 1:25.09. In the ninth event, the 500-yard freestyle, junior Christina Parthenis placed first with a time of 8:17.82. In the final scoring event of the night, the 200-yard freestyle relay, the tandem of sophomore Johanna Cespedes, Rodriguez, freshman Giovanna Jara, and sophomore Ciara Romero registered a first place finish with a time of 2:21.98. 

Before the meet, the Athletics Department honored Christina ParthenisDiana RodriguezJohanna Cespedes, and Ciara Romero as part of Senior Night.

The Bloodhounds close out the regular season with their final meet on Saturday, January 28, at 1:00 pm in New Rochelle, NY. John Jay will compete against the College of New Rochelle and Cedar Crest.
