RESULTS
The women's swimming team recorded its first conference win of the season after defeating Brooklyn College, 54-40, on Thursday evening at the John Jay Pool. The Bloodhounds improve to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in CUNYAC. The Bulldogs drop to 1-2 on the season and in the conference.

Alexi Achtyl and
Isabella Heitz placed first with a time of 2:15.27.Â
Achtyl, sophomore Giavanna Jara, Heitz, and Wong all registered two individual wins each. Achtyl swam in the 1000-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly and finished in 13:09.14 and 1:12.89, respectively. Jara placed first in the 200-yard freestyle (2:52.30) and 500-yard freestyle (8:01.06).Â
Heitz finished the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle with times of 28.80 and 1:04.98, respectively. Lastly, Wong added to her first-place finishes when she swam the 200-yard IM (2:43.33) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:21.83). Additionally, she placed first in an exhibition race, the 400-yard IM, with a time of 5:50.13.Â
The Bloodhounds host St. Joseph's College Brooklyn on Thursday, November 16, at 6:00 pm at the John Jay Pool.Â
