The women's basketball team lost to Baruch College, 62-34, in their season finale on Monday evening at the ARC Arena. The Bloodhounds finish the regular season with an overall record of 4-21 and CUNYAC record of 3-13. The Bearcats improve to 12-12 and 11-5 in conference play.
Senior
Cassandra Taylor led the team in scoring with a team-high 16 points to go along with five boards, a game-high two blocks, and two steals. Junior
Dana Nicholson fell one point shy of a double-double with nine points, 10 rebounds, three steals, and two assists. Seniors
Claire Prince and
Shaliyah Ruiz grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds each. Prince also swiped a team-high four steals.
John Jay finished 14-for-61 (23.0%) from the floor, 3-22 (12.6%) from behind the arc, and 3-for-5 (60.0%) from the free throw line.
The #6 Bloodhounds will now host #7 York College in the CUNYAC First Round on Thursday, February 16, at 5:00 pm at Westchester Community College.
