The #6 women's basketball team lost to #3 College of Staten Island, 90-37, to conclude their season on Saturday afternoon in Staten Island, NY. The Bloodhounds finish the year with an overall record of 5-22. 

Senior Cassandra Taylor led the team in scoring with nine points and eight rebounds. Senior Shaliyah Ruiz recorded seven points, five rebounds, dished out a team-high three assists, and had three steals. Freshman Uju Nwaigwe grabbed a game-high 11 boards to go along with nine points. Junior Dana Nicholson had six points and three steals and senior Claire Prince registered six rebounds. 

John Jay finished 12-for-61 (19.7%) from the floor, 5-for-28 (17.9%) from behind the arc, and 8-for-11 (72.7%) from the free throw line. 

The Dolphins now advance to the CUNYAC semifinals on Tuesday, February 21, at CCNY. 

This game turned out to be the final one of Claire Prince, Shaliyah Ruiz, and Cassandra Taylor's collegiate career. The Athletics Department wishes them the best of luck in the future!
