Doherty, Robledo, & Vasquez Combine for 7 Goals in Win Against Medgar Evers

The women's soccer team defeated Medgar Evers College, 10-0, on Monday afternoon at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds improve to 4-3 overall and stay perfect at 2-0 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Cougars drop to 1-3 and 1-1 in the conference. 

Normally a goalkeeper, senior Kelli Doherty played forward and recorded a hat trick and one assist. Freshman Kimberly Robledo registered two goals, 11 shots, and six shots on goal. Sophomore Camila Vasquez also netted two goals. Junior May Dempsey picked up her first goal of the season. Freshman Chelsea Saquicili added her first collegiate goal. Senior Zola Campbell had two assists. 

Freshman Erika Estro got the start and made one save in the first half. Senior Nicole DiNardo played the second period and recorded one save. 

John Jay travels to Aviator Field in Brooklyn, NY to take on York College on Wednesday, September 20, for a conference match at 4:00 pm.
