The women's soccer team lost to the College of Mount St. Vincent, 2-0, on Monday afternoon at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds fall to 5-4 on the season. The Dolphins improve to 2-4.
The guests scored two goals in the opening 13 minutes. At halftime, John Jay was outshot by a margin of 13-6. Freshman
Erika Estro recorded eight saves.
The Dolphins controlled much of the second half but Estro made some big saves to keep the Dolphins off the scoreboard. The Wantagh, NY native finished the contest with a career-high and season-high 15 saves. Sophomore
Camila Vasquez registered four shots and two shots on goal.
The Bloodhounds travel to Mount Saint Mary College on Thursday, September 28, for a non-conference match at 7:00 pm.
