The women's soccer team lost to Cedar Crest College, 3-2, on Wednesday evening in Allentown, PA. The Bloodhounds drop to 2-1 on the season. The Falcons stay perfect at 3-0.
Cedar Crest got on the scoreboard at the 20:54 mark. About 80 seconds later, freshman
Kimberly Robledo tied the score for her second goal of the season. The Falcons responded five minutes later and added their third goal late in the first half to lead 3-1 at halftime. John Jay outshot the hosts by a margin of 7-6.
In the 61st minute, the Bloodhounds cut the deficit to one as senior
Kayla Talbot notched her first goal of the season. Sophomore
Jaime Bilotti was awarded an assist. John Jay had late opportunities late in the second half but could not capitalize.
Freshman
Erika Estro made her collegiate appearance in goal in the second half and did not allow a goal while making two saves. Junior
Kali Moss recorded a game-high four shots on goal.
The Bloodhounds end their three-game road trip on Saturday, September 9, when they head to Gwynedd Mercy University for a non-conference match at 12:00 pm.
