Women's Swimming Splits in Regular Season Finale; Top New Rochelle 125-54

RESULTS

The women's swim team ended the regular season by splitting a non-conference tri-meet on Thursday evening in New Rochelle, NY. The Bloodhounds defeated the College of New Rochelle, 125-54, and fell to Western Connecticut State, 98-96. The Bloodhounds end the season with a 4-7 record. 

In the first event, the tandem of junior Mavis Ma, senior Bokey Wong, freshman Alexi Achtyl, and freshman Isabella Heitz placed first in the 200-yard medley in a time of 2:11.81. Four events later, Achtyl recorded a first-place finish in the 200 free with a time of 2:18.18. 

Heitz then picked up a top finish in the 50 free in 28.78. In the 100 IM, Wong recorded a first-place finish in a time of 1:11.34. Achtyl then notched her second win of the day in the 100 butterfly in 1:15.71. Wong followed that up with her second top finish with a time of 1:21.24 in the 100 breaststroke. 

The Bloodhounds will now gear up for the CUNYAC Championships starting on Friday, February 2nd through Sunday, February 4 at Lehman College in the Bronx.
