Box Score The women's basketball team fell to City College (CCNY), 76-41, on Friday evening at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds drop to 0-12 overall and 0-5 in the conference. The Beavers improve to 8-4 and 3-2 in CUNYAC.

Jessica Gorman fell one rebound shy of a double-double with a team-high 11 points and a team-high nine rebounds. Senior
Dana Nicholson recorded 10 points, five boards, and a team-high four assists. Sophomore
Kaitlin Koehler added nine points and sophomore
Aliya Lipton swiped a team-high two steals. Junior
Christianne Perez and freshman
Kayla Talbot finished with seven rebounds each.
Koehler, Lipton, and Gorman started the game with three straight baskets to give John Jay an early 6-0 lead. The Beavers ended the quarter on a 19-0 run to lead by 13. With the Bloodhound down by 16, Nicholson drained a three-pointer. At the half, John Jay trailed 40-17.
Perez opened the third quarter with a jumper. The Bloodhound outscored CCNY, 15-11 in the final period.
John Jay finished 12-for-58 (20.7%) from the floor, 4-for-21 (19.0%) from behind the arc, and 13-for-21 (61.9%) from the free-throw line.
