The rifle team collected two victories (NCAA only) over the weekend in Cambridge, MA. The Bloodhounds defeated Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in air rifle, 2256-2168, and smallbore, 2097-2088.
In smallbore, junior
Eliza Kotowska led all shooters with a match-high score of 544. Finishing in fourth overall and second for the Bloodhounds was senior Ida Sado with a 528. Junior
Susana Sanchez (520) and sophomore
Michael Hyde (505) placed third and fourth, respectively.
In the air discpline, Kotowska once again led all scorers with a match-high 572. Right behind her was Sato with a score of 570. Rounding out the top four were Sanchez with a 564 and Hyde with a 550.
The Bloodhounds travel to Hempstead, NY on Saturday, November 3, for a non-conference match against Hofstra University.
