Box Score The women's basketball team lost to Baruch College, 75-57, on Tuesday evening at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds conclude the season with an overall record of 1-24 and 1-15 conference record. The Bearcats improve to 7-14 and 7-9 in CUNYAC.

Christianne Perez led John Jay with a team-high 21 points, five rebounds, a team-high four steals, and three assists. Senior
Dana Nicholson recorded 13 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Junior
Aliya Lipton registered 13 points and freshman
Jeles Williams grabbed eight boards. Sophomore
Kaitlin Koehler added eight rebounds and seven points.
Kayla Talbot finished with six boards.
Koehler opened the game with a three-pointer and two minutes later, Nicholson drained a three to give the Bloodhounds a 7-6 lead. The Bearcats ended the quarter on a 13-0 run to go up 19-7. Three minutes into the second period, Baruch increased its lead to 15. A layup by Perez cut the deficit to 24-11 with 5:30 left in the half. Heading into halftime, John Jay trailed 38-17.
The Bearcats started the third registering the first six points until Perez hit a jumper. Perez ended the quarter making back-to-back baskets as Baruch held a 56-33 advantage. Down by 23, Litpon and Talbot made two straight jumpers. The Bloodhounds ended the quarter outscoring the guests by a margin of 24-19.
John Jay went 19-for-56 (33.9%) from the floor, 2-for-18 (11.1%) from behind the arc, and 17-for-24 (70.8%) from the free-throw line.
This game turned out to be the final one of
Dana Nicholson and
Kayla Talbot's collegiate career. The Athletics Department wishes them the best of luck in the future!
