The baseball team competed at the Ripkin Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina last week. The Bloodhounds drop to 1-5 on the season.
Wednesday, 2/28 - York PA 4, John Jay 0
York opened the scoring in the third inning with a pair of runs. They added a run in the eighth and ninth innings. Senior
Joe Gregory got the start and threw an impressive seven innings, allowing seven hits, three runs (two earned), one walk, and struck out one. Junior
C.J. Meyer went 2-for-4. Sophomore

Thursday, 3/1 - Johnson & Wales 8, John Jay 3

Thursday, 3/1 - Manchester 10, John Jay 8
The Bloodhounds opened the scoring in the top of the first when Garcia crushed a two-run homer to right field. In the bottom of the second, sophomore
Sean Napier drove in junior
Jurrel Diaz and Osborne singled in senior
Robert Moncino to give John Jay an early 4-0 lead. Manchester responded with five in the third to take their first lead. In the top of the fourth, Napier had an RBI single and scored on a stolen base by Garcia. With two outs, junior
William De La Cruz ripped a double down the left field line to give John Jay a 7-5 advantage. Manchester followed with a run in the fifth and four in the six to regain the lead, 10-7. In the top of the ninth, Moncino drove in Meyer with an RBI sac bunt. Osborne, Garcia, De La Cruz, and Meyer each recorded two hits. Napier finished with two RBI's. Wynne pitched two scoreless innings.
Friday, 3/2 - Manchester 17, John Jay 10
Manchester plated two runs in the top of the first. In the bottom of the second, Meyer and Moncino recorded RBI's to even the score at two apiece. Manchester added a run in the third and four in the fourth to go up 7-2. In the bottom of the fourth, Napier delivered a two-out two-run triple to right field and later scored on an RBI single by Osborne. Manchester tacked on another run in the top of the sixth to lead 8-5. Napier came up clutch once again with a three-run homer to center field to tie the game, 8-8. Down 9-8 in the seventh, Napier was not finished as the junior came through with a two-out RBI single up the middle to once again tie the score. Manchester broke open the game with seven runs in the eighth inning. Napier finished 3-for-5 with a career-high and season-high six RBI's and two runs scored. Garcia went 2-for-4 and Meyer finished 3-for-5 with two RBI's and a run.
The Bloodhounds will travel to Manhattanville College on Wednesday, March 7, for a non-conference single game at 3:00 pm.
