The women's soccer team defeated Old Westbury, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds improve to 3-2-1 on the season. The Panthers drop to 2-5 overall. 

Sophomore Kimberly Robledo netted the game-winning goal in the 87th minute to propel the Bloodhounds to their first shutout victory of the year. Freshman Katie Healy was credited with the assist. 

Freshman Brittany Shaneberger notched her second straight win and first collegiate shutout after making two saves. 

John Jay outshot the guests by a margin of 30-2. 

The Bloodhounds head into conference play when they host the College of Staten Island on Wednesday, September 19, at 3:30 pm at Randall's Island Field 70.
