Women's Swimming Wins 10 of 11 Events Against York in 104-55 Victory; Chedraoui, Ma, & Reyes Record Two Wins Apiece

RESULTS

The women's swim team cruised to a 104-55 victory over York College on Thursday evening in Jamaica, NY. The Bloodhounds improve to 4-6 on the season and 2-3 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Cardinals drop to 1-8 and 0-4 in the conference. 

Senior Mavis Ma and freshmen Maya Chedraoui and Gabrielle Reyes each registered two individual wins for John Jay. Ma finished in first in the 50 free (32.76) and 100 fly (1:31.19). 

Chedraoui picked up victories in the 200 free (2:42.30) and 200 IM (3:08.06). Reyes registered first-place finishes in the 800 free (14:21.77) and 100 free (1:21.91). 

Sophomore Isabella Heitz also won an individual race in the 100 back with a time of 1:19.56. 

John Jay got off to a fast start when the tandem of Heitz, sophomore Nicole Pang, Chedraoui, and junior Giovanna Jara collected nine points in the 200 medley relay in a time of 2:38.88. 

The Bloodhounds travel to Lehman College on Friday, January 18, for a conference match at 6:00 pm.
