Box Score The #3 women's tennis team rolled past #6 York College, 5-0, on senior day on Sunday afternoon at the USTA National Tennis Center. The Bloodhounds improve to 8-3 on the year. The Cardinals finish the season with an overall record of 0-9. 

In doubles, the tandem of senior Angelica Lozano and freshman Nikhar Rathi shutout their opponent in the third spot, 8-0. At No. 1, sophomore Mariana Rodriguez and junior Gabrielle Schuck came out with an 8-2 victory. At number two, sophomore Briana Schmidt and freshman Kayla Hanky defeated their opponent 8-1. 

In singles, Schmidt (No. 3) and Rathi (No. 6) picked up 6-0, 6-0 victories to complete the sweep for John Jay. 

Before the match, the Athletics Department honored seniors Angelica Lozano, Cristina Peralta, Mariana Rodriguez, and Clara Aylin Wilhelm as part of Senior Day. 

       

The Bloodhounds face #2 Baruch College in the CUNYAC Semifinals on Tuesday, October 22. Game time and location are TBA.
