The women's tennis team shut out York College, 9-0, in a conference match on Saturday afternoon at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY. The Bloodhounds improve 5-2 on the season and 3-1 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Cardinals drop to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
In first doubles, the duo of sophomores
Mariana Rodriguez and
Kellie Murtha was victorious 8-0. In the third spot, senior
Angelica Lozano and sophomore
Nikhar Rathi came out on top 8-0.
In singles play, sophomore
Kayla Hanky (No. 2), sophomore
Briana Schmidt (No. 3), Rathi (No. 4), junior
Cristina Peralta (No. 5), and junior
Clara Aylin Wilhelm (No. 6) all won 6-0, 6-0.
The Bloodhounds host Baruch College on Thursday, October 10, for a conference match at 4:00 pm at the USTA National Tennis Center.
