The rifle team lost to Massachusetts Institute of Technology in both disciplines on Saturday afternoon. The Bloodhounds fell in air rifle, 2196-2190, and smallbore, 2164-2014. John Jay is now 2-2 on the season.
In air, senior
Eliza Kotowska led the Bloodhound shooters with a team-high 559. Junior
Michael Hyde finished right behind with a score of 553. Sophomore
Izadora Zetola and freshman
Eric Lopez recorded a 540 and 538, respectively.
In smallbore, Hyde fired a personal-best and team-high score of 544. Kotowska finished in second shooting a 519. Rounding out the top four were Lopez (493) and Zetola (458).
The Bloodhounds face Air Force on Sunday, November 3 on the campus of Army in West Point, NY.
