Men's Soccer Eliminated in NCAA First Round With Loss Against Johns Hopkins; Finish With Best Season in Program History

Making their first appearance in the NCAA DIII postseason tournament, the men's soccer team fell to Johns Hopkins, 5-0, on Saturday afternoon on the campus of Catholic University in Washington DC. The Bloodhounds finish the season with an overall record of 6-11-2. 

John Jay used a strong defensive approach in the first half to keep the Blue Jays off the score sheet. Johns Hopkins outshot the Bloodhounds by a margin of 12-1. Junior Steven Towler made five saves in the period. 

The Blue Jays scored three goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half and would go on for the victory. 

S. Towler finished with nine saves in the contest. Junior James Haddad led the offense with a team-high two shots. 

The Bloodhounds finish the season with its first CUNYAC Championship and NCAA appearance in school history. 

This match turned out to be the final one of Michael DeMarco, Aly Jahin, Julien Roussel, and Chris Toledo's collegiate career. The Athletics Department wishes them the best of luck in the future!
