Women's Swim Falls at Hunter College

RESULTS

The women's swimming team lost to Hunter College, 61-27, on Friday evening in New York, NY. The Bloodhounds fall to 1-1 on the season and 0-1 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Hawks improve to a perfect 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference. 

John Jay's first points came in the third event when freshman Monique Souza placed second in the 200 free in 2:19.02. In the next event, the 50 free, sophomore Alexi Achtyl registered a second-place finish with a time of 28.67, 0.02 seconds behind the leader.

Sophomore Natalie Rizo then finished in second place in the 200 IM in a time of 3:24.17. In the 500 free, senior Sol Astudillo placed second in 7:57.44. 

In the final event of the evening, the tandem of freshman Adriana Guzman, Rizo, freshman Samara Pettie, and Astudillo picked up seven points after swimming the 200 free relay with a time of 2:34.90. 

The Bloodhounds travel to Baruch College on Wednesday, December 11, for a conference match at 6:00 pm.
