The rifle team cruised to its 11th straight Big Apple Championship defeating Maritime College in air rifle, 2215-2084, on Saturday at the John Jay Rifle Range. The Bloodhounds improve to a perfect 3-0 in the air discipline.
Senior
Eliza Kotowska led all shooters with a personal-best and match-high score of 566. Finishing one point behind was junior
Michael Hyde with a 565. Freshman
Eric Lopez fired a 547 and sophomore
Izadora Zetola placed fourth with a 537. Freshman
Hassan Sheikh registered a career-high 519.
Before the match, the Athletics Department honored senior Eliza Kotowka as part of Senior Day.
The Bloodhounds travel to the United States Coast Guard Academy on Saturday, February 1.
