The women's basketball team fell to Brooklyn College, 66-57, on Monday evening in Brooklyn, NY. The Bloodhounds drop to 12-12 on the season and 8-7 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Bulldogs improve to 17-7 and 13-2 in the conference.
Junior
Nyasha Howard led all scorers with a game-high 23 points, seven rebounds, team-high five assists, team-high five blocks, and team-high four steals. Freshman
Katie Healy notched her 13th double-double with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and three steals.

Karen Rosario registered five points and a team-high 13 boards. Sophomore
Jessica Gorman finished with eight points.
Howard scored the first bucket of the game but Brooklyn followed on a 14-3 run. At the end of the first quarter, the hosts led 21-7.
Trailing by 14 in the second, Howard sank two free-throws and a three by Gorman trimmed the deficit to nine. With 5:43 left in the half and down by 13, John Jay went on a 9-0 run to cut the lead down to 28-24. Heading into halftime, the Bloodhounds trailed 31-26.
Brooklyn increased its lead to seven in the third but Healy converted on a three-point play. However, the Bulldogs responded on a 9-0 run. Howard hit a layup to end the period as John Jay trailed 49-39.
With Brooklyn up by 10, the Bloodhounds scored six straight as Healy registered four points with 6:22 remaining. Two minutes later, the Bulldogs went back ahead by 10 and never looked back.
John Jay went 18-for-55 (32.7%) from the field, 3-for-10 (30.0%) from behind the arc, and 18-for-23 (78.3%) from the charity stripe.
The Bloodhounds close out the regular season on Wednesday, February 13, when they host Hunter College at 6:00 pm at the Doghouse. The game will be live streamed at
