The rifle team fell to the US Naval Academy in both air rifle and smallbore in an NCAA only match on Saturday afternoon in Annapolis, MD. The Bloodhounds scored a 2232 in air rifle and 2139 in smallbore. Navy fired a 2360 in air and 2310 in smallbore. John Jay finishes the regular season 9-1 in air rifle and 7-2 in the smallbore discipline.

Ida Sato and junior
Susana Sanchez led the squad with a team-high 564. Junior
Eliza Kotowska placed third with a score of 557, followed by sophomore
Michael Hyde firing a 547. Freshman
Izadora Zetola rounded out the top five with a 545.
In smallbore, Kotowska finished in first for John Jay registering a 541. Placing right behind her were Hyde (540) and Sanchez (536). Sato and Zetola rounded out the team with scores of 522 and 490, respectively.
The Bloodhounds will gear up for the MAC Championship on Saturday, March 2, at the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT.
