The baseball team fell to Baruch College, 2-0 (six innings), on Friday afternoon at MCU Park in Coney Island, NY. The Bloodhounds drop to 9-19 on the season and 2-2 in the conference. The Bearcats improve to 9-13 overall and 4-2 in CUNYAC.
Baruch scored its two runs in the first and fourth innings. The game was called in the top of the seventh due to rain.
Freshman
Stephen Strategakos got the start and threw three innings. Freshman
Paul Slawson came in relief and fired three scoreless innings while allowing two hits and struck out five.
Junior
Danny Wynne finished 2-for-2 with a stolen base. Senior
Zach Hyde reached base twice and recorded a stolen base, his team-leading 24th of the season.
The Bloodhounds and Bearcats close out the series with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 13, at Fordham University. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
