The #3 women's basketball team lost to #2 Hunter College, 72-62, in the CUNYAC semifinals on Wednesday evening on the campus of Hunter. The Bloodhounds conclude the season with an overall record of 14-13.

Katie Healy picked up her team-leading 14th double-double of the season with 15 points, a game-high 15 rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Senior
All'aha Albright tallied a team-high 16 points, seven rebounds, and a pair of steals.

Nyasha Howard finished with 15 points, nine boards, a team-high seven assists, three steals, and a team-high two blocks. Sophomore
Jada Rencher registered 11 rebounds to go along with seven points.
The Bloodhounds led 17-16 after the first quarter. John Jay outscored the hosts 18-16 in the second period to hold a 35-27 at the half.
Hunter broke open the third quarter on a 24-0 run to outscore the Bloodhounds 17-5 in the period. John Jay made a late comeback in the fourth but ended up falling to the second seeded Hawks.
The Hawks will face off against Brooklyn College on Friday, February 28, in the CUNYAC title at York College.
John Jay finishes the season with its most overall wins since 2006-07 year.
