Katie Healy's Five Points Power Women's Soccer to 4-0 Shutout Win Over Brooklyn College; Record 30th Career Goal

STATEN ISLAND, NY -- The women's soccer team cruised to a 4-0 shutout victory over Brooklyn College on Saturday afternoon on the campus of the College of Staten Island. The Bloodhounds are now over .500 on the season at 5-4 and stay perfect in the conference at 2-0. The Bulldogs drop to 0-11 overall and 0-2 in CUNYAC.

John Jay scored all of its goals in the first half. In the 12th minute, junior Katie Healy made a beautiful pass to Cynthia Madrid who tapped it in for her first goal of the year. Twelve minutes later, Healy made another perfect cross inside the box to senior Kimberly Robledo who slid it into the back of the net.

About two-and-a-half minutes later, Healy blasted a shot from outside the box for her team-leading sixth goal and 30th of her collegiate career. With less than eight minutes remaining in the period, Kealy found freshman Ashley Goldstein who buried it past the goalkeeper for her first collegiate goal.

Healy finished with a goal and three assists. Graduate student Cyan Scott and sophomore Lexi Reidenbaker combined for the shutout.

The Bloodhounds travel to Penn State Harrisburg for a non-conference match on Monday, October 18. First kick is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
