NEW YORK, NY - The John Jay College men's soccer team released its full slate for the 2021 season.
"We're all looking forward to being back on the field and representing the Bloodhounds," interim head men's soccer coach
Zade Haobsh said. "We always look forward to CUNYAC play, but we also have some great non-conference challenges to look forward to. There's always an added motivation to defend the championship but after more than a year away, we're all just hungry to compete one game at a time."
The Bloodhounds' last game was in 2019 when they competed in the NCAA Regionals for the first time in program history. With the 2020 season canceled due to COVID, the squad returns after a historic 2019 season in which the program earned its first championship in school history.
John Jay opens the 2021 campaign on September 1 with six straight road games across three different states. The Bloodhounds then return home for home matches in four of its next five.
Conference play begins on September 29 when the John Jay battles CCNY. The Bloodhounds close out the regular season with a rematch of the 2019 championship when they face off against the Hawks of Hunter on October 20.
Six teams will qualify for the CUNYAC postseason beginning with the quarterfinals on Wednesday, October 27, at the higher seed. The semifinals follow on Saturday, October 30, at the higher seed. The conference championship is then scheduled for Saturday, November 6, at 4:30 pm at Brooklyn College. The winner of the match will automatically advance to the NCAA DIII Regionals on Saturday, November 13.
All home games will be played at
Randall's Island. Times and field numbers will be updated and released in the coming weeks. All dates and opponents on the current schedule are subject to change. Please check
