FLUSHING, NY -- The women's tennis team lost to Western Connecticut State, 6-3, on Sunday afternoon at the USTA National Tennis Center. With the loss, the Bloodhounds drop to 1-3 on the season. Meanwhile, the Colonials improve to 2-6.

Sarina Moi defeated their Western Connecticut State foes. John Jay closed doubles down 2-1, and went on to win two singles matches to finish the day with three points. Freshman
Dakota Himaya (No. 3) and sophomore
Nikhar Rathi (No. 4) both won in straight sets 6-0, 6-0.
The Bloodhounds' next match will be on Friday, October 1. John Jay will continue CUNYAC play against Brooklyn College. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Brooklyn.
