Cos Cob, CT - The John Jay rifle team opened finished 2-2 in their opening weekend, as they competed against both MIT and SUNY Maritime. 

The Bloodhounds dropped both guns to MIT, falling in airgun by just 12 points (2187-2175) but was able to defeat Maritime as they only competed in smallbore. 

Senior Eric Lopez led the way in smallbore with a total scored of 531, followed by Marwa Morsi (502), Quinn Hennessey (495) and Leonard Lao (469).

In airgun, first-year Danny Canning paced the club with a 560. Lopez was next at 552 followed by Morsi (536) and Hennessey (527). 

John Jay will next be in competition on November 4 when they will head down to Lexington, VA to shoot against Virginia Military Institute (VMI) and University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
