Women's Swimming Kicks Off 2022-23 Season with Tri-Meet Hosted by St. Joseph's - Long Island 10/30/2022 12:00:00 AM By: John Jay Sports Information PATCHOGUE, NY - The John Jay women's swimming team kicked off the 2022-23 season on Saturday afternoon with a tri-meet hosted by St. Joseph's - Long Island. Other competing schools included Sarah Lawrence and Maritime. The Bloodhounds came up short in all three competitions, resulting in an 0-3 record to begin the year. John Jay lost 111-55 to Sarah Lawrence, lost 91-81 to Maritime, and lost 124-63 to the host Golden Eagles. The Bloodhounds top performer was sophomore Miranda Perez, who emerged victorious in the 100-free with a time of 0:59.20 to lead the pack. Sophomore Cami Achury placed second in the 100-yard fly with a time of 1:07.21. In team events, John Jay performed well, including a second place finish in the 200-medley. The Bloodhounds' next meet is set for Friday, November 11 at 6 p.m. It will be the CUNYAC opener against York College.
