PURCHASE, NY - The John Jay women's swimming team earned its first win of the season on Wednesday evening, defeating Purchase College by a score of 93-83 in upstate New York. 

Sophomore Miranda Perez had another dominant meet for the Bloodhounds, winning both the 50-free and the 100-free with times of 27:10 and 1:00.13, respectively. 

Junior Anika Amdahl emerged victorious in the 100-breast with a time of 1:27.52. 

Freshman Andreea Gheorghe won her first event of the season, taking the 100-back with a time of 1:13.94. 

Sophomore Cami Achury won the 100-fly, clocking in at 1:06.62

John Jay's next competition will be the first conference meet of the season for the Bloodhounds. They will travel to take on the Hunter College Hawks on Friday, December 2 at 6 p.m.
