MT. VERNON, NY -  The John Jay rifle team picked up another massive conference win on Saturday, defeating cross-city rival SUNY Maritime in a smallbore only match. Despite the Privateers having the top two overall shooters, the Bloodhounds were still able to come away with a 2046-1941 victory. 

Junior Eric Lopez was once again John Jay's leading shooter, scoring 520. Sophomore Marwa Morsi was right behind him with a score of 518. Sophomore Quinn Hennessey rounded out the top three with a score of 509. Junior Leonard Lao put together a score of 499. 

John Jay will be back at it on Saturday, December 3, in a rematch against SUNY Maritime, this time an airgun match. The competition will be hosted by the Bloodhounds and the start time is TBA.
